About Blue Yonder Girl
Like most girls who love aviation, I tried to find clothing to show my passion for flight. Every time I walked away with a bulky guys shirt.
After my best friend had her baby girl in 2004, I tried desperately to fina a cute aviation related outfit for her. Again, I was disappointed that there was nothing on the market for girls. It was then I decided to design my own line of clothing and Blue Yonder Girl was born.
There is a huge push happening right now encouraging women to realize their dream of flying. With this new wave of female pilots and future pilots there is a need now more than ever to help these women express their love for aviation and encourage even more women to fly. Blue Yonder Girl not only wants to outfit these women, we also want to reach out to them and help pave the way for more women to become interested in flight.
How can more women be attracted into the aviation industry? We need to show the nonflying public that women do fly. Many women do not fly because they are unaware that flying is even an option. Unless you grow up with a parent who flies, chances are the thought might never enter into your mind. Clothing and style help bring ideas to light for many women and girls. Exposure to cute aviation clothes & accessories will spark curiosity in flight and show that GIRLS FLY!
